M3GAN is back, Out readers, and she's our latest digital cover star!
M3GAN, the advanced AI robot doll, is back in the new movie M3GAN 2.0, and she has an exclusive new interview with Out!
After the first M3GAN film in 2023, the doll became an instant queer icon, known for her impeccable fashion, great dance moves, devotion to Cady, and her killer instinct. Now, she's back and campier than ever.
"Being a gay icon is my default setting," M3GAN tells Out. "To the alphabet mafia, I see you. I slay for you. And thanks for being so silly online with me. Keep serving the energy, babies."
M3GAN also emphasizes the importance of chosen family, stating that it is "everything."
"And Cady will always be mine," she says. "As for Gemma, let's just say we're setting new terms and conditions."
Allison Williams, who plays Gemma, also spoke with Out, saying she's proud to be a part of a film that created a new gay icon.
"How wonderful to be able to bring someone to life who is so full of authenticity, and is living in her most authentic self, and is brash, and has all the qualities that people that are living in marginalized identities have to have," she says.
