Hello Out readers!
There's a lot of action happening in the world of music right now! In addition to Bad Bunny's explosive Super Bowl Halftime Show, Grammy-winning rapper Doechii appears to have come out as a lesbian!
Doechii has been publicly out as queer for years, but now fans are wondering if she's announced she's a lesbian. The "Denial is a River" rapper recently launched a new lifestyle Instagram account, @gustgritslamour, whose bio reads "Home life... wellness... books/essays... clubbing... lesbian..." among other interests.
Elsewhere in the music business, several major artists, including Chappell Roan and Orville Peck, have announced that they are leaving the Wasserman talent agency after it was revealed that the company's CEO, Casey Wasserman, was named in documents related to convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.
"As of today, I am no longer represented by Wasserman, the talent agency led by Casey Wasserman," Roan wrote in an Instagram Story. "I hold my teams to the highest standards and have a duty to protect them as well. No artist, agent, or employee should ever be expected to defend or overlook actions that conflict so deeply with our own moral values."
Another queer artist, Kim Petras, is fighting her own battle against her label, Republic Records. After saying her label has "refused" to give her a release date for her upcoming album in January, Petras has now leaked a new song, "Pop Sound," on YouTube and Soundcloud!
