Hello, Out readers. Did you watch the Grammy Awards last night?
The 2026 Grammy Awards took place on Sunday, February 1, celebrating the best in music, and this year included many queer artists and a lot of Latin music, much to the dismay of Trump and all his anti-DEI crusaders.
Host Trevor Noah got in on the anti-Trump train, joking that every artist wants to win the Song of the Year Grammy "almost as much as Trump wants Greenland."
"Which makes sense, because Epstein's island is gone, he needs a new one to hang out with Bill Clinton."
Of course, Trump has already threatened to sue Noah.
Noah was far from the only person to make a political statement at the awards ceremony. Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny, who would go on to win Best Album for Debí Tirar Más Fotos, was accepting the award for Best Música Urbana Album when he called out ICE.
"Before I say thanks to God, I'm going to say, 'ICE Out.' We're not savages, we're not animals, we are not aliens, we are humans, and we are Americans," he said in his speech to a standing ovation from the crowd. "Also, I want to say to the people I know that it's tough not to hate on these days, and I was thinking sometimes we get... contaminados... I don't know how to say that in English. The hate gets more powerful with more hate."
Later, when Billie Eilish won the Grammy for Song of the Year for "WILDFLOWER," she made a similar statement.
"No one is illegal on stolen land," Eilish said in her speech while also wearing an ICE Out pin. "Yeah, it's just really hard to know what to say and what to do right now. I feel really hopeful in this room, and I feel like we need to just keep fighting and speaking up and protesting. Our voices really do matter; people do matter."
"F*ck ICE" she seemingly said at the end of the speech as her words were bleeped out.
While all this was happening, rapper Nicki Minaj, who has never won a Grammy, was busy tweeting conspiracy theories.
