Happy Friday, Out readers!
Fans have been speculating about the sexuality of Heated Rivalry stars Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams. While the show's creator, Jacob Tierney, has said the two actors deserve their privacy, and he doesn't "think there's any reason to get into that stuff," fans are still wondering.
Storrie and Williams definitely deserve their privacy, and we're not going to speculate about them here. Instead, we've decided to highlight some actors who have actually come out after or while playing gay.
These actors say that playing gay, or filming coming out scenes, helped them get the courage and confidence to come out themselves.
Our list includes Stranger Things star Noah Schnapp, who came out during his character Will Byers's own coming-out journey.
It also includes The Wedding Banquet star Kelly Marie Tran, who came out as queer after playing a lesbian in that film, and Baby Reindeer star Jessica Gunning, who realized she was gay after she kissed Cate Blanchett in a play.
9-1-1: Lone Star actor Ronen Rubinstein also makes the list, saying he was nervous to play a role so "specific" to his personal life.
However, when not only his fans, but his friends and family embraced the role, he was able to come out as bisexual.
