Happy Monday, Out readers!
Did you watch the Golden Globes this past weekend? Whether you watched and want to recap your favorite moments, or you skipped it and want to see what you missed, we've got you covered with our Golden Globes coverage!
One touching, powerful moment at the Globes kept recurring throughout the night. At the ceremony, several stars, including Wanda Sykes, Mark Ruffalo, Natasha Lyonne, and Jean Smart, wore pins that said "Be Good." These pins were in remembrance of Renee Good, a queer woman in Minneapolis who was shot and killed by an ICE agent last week.
Speaking of Sykes, she presented the award for Best Standup Comedy and used her platform to mock comedians who keep punching down. When Sykes read that Ricky Gervais was nominated but not at the awards, she said, "If you win, I get to accept the award on your behalf. You're going to thank God and the trans community."
Sure enough, when he won, Sykes thanked God and the trans community on Gervais's behalf.
One of the biggest stories at this year's Globes was the appearance of Heated Rivalry stars Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie! The two actors weren't nominated this year, but did walk the red carpet, attend, and even presented an award.
In one extra-queer moment, the Heated Rivalry duo presented the award for Best Supporting Actress in a TV Series. Not only did the duo walk out to "Pink Pony Club" by Chappell Roan, but when they announced the winner, it was lesbian actress Erin Doherty for Adolescence!
