Hello Out readers!
Even though the final episode of Heated Rivalry's first season aired almost three weeks ago, we can't stop thinking about this show!
The show is already having an impact on the real world, as it inspired former pro hockey player Jesse Kortuem to come out! Kortuem isn't an NHL player (no NHL players have ever come out), but his story is still important.
"I know many closeted and gay men in the hockey world are being hit hard by Heated Rivalry's success," Kortuem tells Out. "Never in my life did I think something so positive and loving could come from such a masculine sport. I've struggled the last few weeks to put these emotions into words, fearing the impact on team dynamics, etc."
Queer TV fans are also begging for more queer sports content (like the upcoming Winter Olympics), and are now excited for another upcoming Crave TV show, Slo Pitch. Slo Pitch is about a queer women's softball team and stars Jess Salgueiro and Emily Hampshire. We can't wait to watch!
Of course, if you're getting tired of TV, may we suggest the upcoming kinky romance Pillion? The new trailer for the BDSM biker film starring Alexander Skarsgård and Harry Melling just came out. Make sure you check it out!

Opinion: "I have no problem with lip syncing, but you'd think the side that hates drag queens so much would have a little more shame about it," writes Ryan Adamczeski.
