Hello Out readers.
People across the country are protesting the illegal and unethical actions of ICE agents and the government. If you want to participate, here's what you should know.
Recently, over 100 LGBTQ+ celebs and allies, including Billie Eilish, Elliot Page, and Queen Latifah, have all spoken out about ICE. Some of them, like Meg Stalter, have said that they were being censored by TikTok for criticizing ICE.
“I've tried for hours to upload the same video, and it wouldn't show it to one person,’ she wrote on her Instagram account. 'ABOLISH ICE! Delete TikTok!'
Just yesterday, Lady Gaga criticized the ICE raids and actions at the Tokyo stop of her Mayhem Ball tour.
"I want to take a second to talk about something that's extremely important to me," Gaga said. "Something important to people all over the world, and especially in America right now. In a couple of days, I'm going to be heading home, and my heart is aching thinking about the people, the children, the families all over America who are being mercilessly targeted by ICE."
As the protests continue to escalate, journalist Don Lemon was arrested in Los Angeles on Thursday. As of this morning, the Justice Department has not publicly confirmed what charges he faces, but federal prosecutors have been targeting him for his coverage of the shootings of Renee Nicole Good and Alex Pretti in Minneapolis.
We'll keep you updated on the situation.

The racist, homophobic, and frightening arrest of Don Lemon
Opinion: It’s not a coincidence or an accident that Lemon, and other Black journalists were targeted by the Trump Justice Department, writes John Casey.
