Hello queers, allies, and readers!
Welcome to the first official Monday edition of the Out newsletter! This is the first full week of the newsletter, so it will give you a good look at what you can look forward to with each edition in the future.
With March, spring is officially about to be sprung! I love the warm weather, so I am super excited for lots of sun and fun this season! Some things I’m looking forward this spring include the release of the movie Love Lies Bleeding, the start of the National Women's Soccer League season, and of course, spending more time outside! What are your favorite spring activities?
The Oscars are also quickly coming up, so check out our coverage of the queer nominees as well as some of this year’s biggest snubs!
In the Monday newsletters, we’ll bring you all the pop culture news you need, as well as features on what we’re excited to watch this week, who our Man Crush Monday is, and a special message from one of our editors!
On Out this week, we covered the creepy I Saw the TV Glow trailer, talked about straight actor discourse, released an Ultimate Gay Sex playlist for y’all to get freaky to, talked about what a twink is and isn’t, and featured a great personal essay from musician, drag queen, designer, and club legend Kevin Aviance about his “unapologetic journey on embracing resilience and authenticity.”

What We're Watching
We absolutely love everything Julio Torres does, so of course we’ve been waiting with baited breath for his first film, Problemista, to come out! Now that it is, all of us are running to see it in theaters!
Problemista stars Torres as Alejandro, an aspiring toy designer and immigrant from El Salvador who gets a job assisting an eccentric art-world outcast in order to get a work visa. Check it out in theaters now!
Man Crush Monday

“Tamagotchi” singer Omar Apollo has long been one of our biggest crushes, and when he shows off his sense of humor while also reminding us how sexy he is, we love him even more!
This week, a fan of the singer pitched that Apollo should show hole on his next album after his last featured a nude painting of him. “Not till album 13,” Apollo replied. We love a man who can make us laugh!
