TV, film, and Broadway star Cheyenne Jackson, now a Los Angeles resident, will be ending his Cafe Carlyle residency in New York on Saturday, but there's still time to get tickets to for the last few shows.
His cabaret show mixes Jackson's favorite show tunes, pop songs, and movie tracks, with stories of his new marriage, growing up gay in home with no running water (but without running water for just five years, his mother reminds him), and getting sober.
Some standout songs include "Falling Slowly" from the film and stage production of Once, George Michael's "Kissing a Fool," and Joni Mitchell's classic "A Case of You."
Michael Musto spoke with Jackson just before his debut about divorce, re-marriage, collaborating with Sia, and how the internet exploded over a mustache photo.
Jackson performs through Jan. 24 at Cafe Carlyle, 35 East 76th Street, Manhattan. Call 212-744-1600 or click on TicketWeb for tickets.
