Orville Peck announced today that he's exiting the Wasserman talent agency "in light of the recent findings regarding Casey Wasserman," the founder and CEO of the aforementioned agency whose name has been brought up in new documents tied to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.
This update comes on the heels of Chappell Roan also announcing that she'd leave the agency amid these new allegations regarding Casey Wasserman's ties to Epstein. Hollywood insiders predicted that Roan's exit would probably start a chain reaction among musicians who worked with said agency, and that impact seems to already be in effect.
Peck wrote in a statement, "In light of the recent findings regarding Casey Wasserman, I have made the decision to no longer be represented by the Wasserman talent agency. My heartfelt thanks goes out to my personal team, some of whom I have respected, trusted and worked with for close to a decade."
"I leave with a huge amount of compassion for the rest of the agents and staff at the agency, who are being left with a situation that impacts all of our work and livelihoods," he concluded.
Peck is the second queer artist to announce his public departure from the Wasserman talent agency after its founder and CEO Casey Wasserman was named in new documents related to convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.
