The first-look images and videos of Jinkx Monsoon playing Judy Garland in the London stage revival of Peter Quilter's End of the Rainbow have finally dropped — and this Broadway darling, pop culture icon, and trans trailblazer continues to prove that, really, Monsoon season never ends.

Beyond being lauded for her iconic Snatch Game impersonation of Judy Garland in the Snatch Game of All Stars 7, the two-time RuPaul's Drag Race winner is bringing more heft to this production, which isn't designed to make Drag Race fans laugh, but to tell the story of Garland as Hollywood royalty and one of the most important pop culture fixtures of all time.

And how's it going, you ask? Well, as of this writing, the Band A tickets (premium, highest-priced seating tier in a theater) for End of the Rainbow have already sold out for Monsoon's first nine days performing at the Soho Theatre Walthamstow in London.

Yes, you read that right: The best seats in the house to see Jinkx Monsoon as Judy Garland in London are already sold out between Friday, May 15 (opening night) and Sunday, May 24, even though we're still three months away from opening night.

In a promotional video for this End of the Rainbow revival, Monsoon discusses her own relationship, understanding, and admiration for Garland as she steps into this new role.

"I love taking on new characters because every new character that I play shows me a new facet of my own personality," Monsoon explains. "Judy Garland is important to me as an artist, an entertainer, an actress, a queer person, and a cinephile. She has encapsulated so much of what it meant to be a woman in the public eye during her time… and, really, still today."

Monsoon adds, "There's so much to learn from the story of Judy Garland — a larger than life, iconic personality. But she is also a human being. She's earnest, sincere, and the pain that she felt was very real."

These first-look pictures of 2026's End of the Rainbow are already serving Judy Garland realness as Monsoon embodies the legendary diva for this revival in London.

One of those striking references show Monsoon as Garland in Summer Stock (1950).

The March 4, 1962 episode of The Jack Paar Program has always been a fan-favorite moment of Judy Garland's career over the years, and Monsoon's nod to this chapter can be seen in the side-by-side comparison below.

In defiance of intense media scrutiny, Garland was nothing but hilarious, witty, and serene during the talk show, prompting fans to celebrate that the Judy they had all fallen in love with was still around.
