For as long as Doechii has been a household name, the artist has identified as bisexual. But the "Anxiety" singer may have given fans a hint that she may now identify as a lesbian after internet sleuths noticed a subtle change on her lifestyle account, @gutsgritglamour.
In the bio of this account, she added the word "lesbian," so it now reads: "Home life… wellness… books/essays… clubbing… lesbian… luxury… travel… beauty… music… side quests… fashion… more…”
The account appears to be new, with only two posts uploaded in the last two days. The rapper has always been open about her sexuality and has never shied away from the subject. In a 2024 interview with the Gay Times, she talked more about her sexuality and who she was dating at that moment, saying, "I think I’ve always been gay. I always knew I was gay. I’m currently bisexual. I am with a woman now, and I have always known that I loved women.”
The former Out100 honoree also spoke with GQ in 2022 about how she became more comfortable referencing her queerness in her music after she started making more LGBTQ+ friends. "I always knew that I was queer, and I was bisexual," Doechii said during the interview. "But I didn’t really feel comfortable talking about it, because nobody around me was gay."
She continued, "So, it’s not like I was hiding it – but I also wasn’t fully embracing it. I just started indulging myself with more friends who were like me. And that’s when I could become more comfortable talking about it, because that’s my normal everyday conversation now with my gay friends.”
Doechii has won two Grammys. In 2025, she triumphed in Best Rap Album for Alligator Bites Never Heal, and this year, she won Best Music Video for "Anxiety."

Opinion: "I have no problem with lip syncing, but you'd think the side that hates drag queens so much would have a little more shame about it," writes Ryan Adamczeski.
