This will be the first feature-length film for writer/director Gary Jaffe, who previously worked in short films like 2017's Sunset, 2019's Next Level Shit, and 2020's Last Summer with Uncle Ira.
The main cast, production details, and official description about the upcoming queer rom-com was first reported by Variety. The publication also revealed that the movie was "shot on location in the Berkshires region of Massachusetts, with principal photography completed in Otis."

According to the aforementioned report, Before I Do "follows a lakeside bachelor party weekend that devolves into chaos when the groom and his best man's past romantic feelings reignite."
That irresistible reunion ends up "entangling the wedding party — their college BFFs and the groom's not-so-straight best friend — in the chaotic pre-wedding drama."

Jared Reinfeldt is best known for starring as Nick Barden on FX's Feud: Capote vs. The Swans, Ned Moffat in Greta Gerwig's Little Women, and other notable characters on TV shows like American Horror Story, Gossip Girl (2020), and The Flight Attendant.
Reinfeldt is an out gay man who's been married to Samuel Leicht — an actor, athlete, and founder of Pridefit — since August 2023.

Michael Hsu Rosen

Beyond his work on Broadway, which includes the 2009 reboot of West Side Story and the 2018 revival of Torch Song, Rosen has appeared on several TV shows and movies over the years. Namely, the actor starred in Glamorous, Tiny Pretty Things, The Sex Lives of College Girls, and Pretty Smart, to name a few.
In 2021, Rosen discussed his journey toward embracing his gay identity and Asian heritage, noting to HuffPost that he had to "assert" himself in order to live as his most authentic self.

Cole Doman

Cole Doman's acting credits include 2025's The Mastermind, 2024's Haze, 2015's Henry Gamble's Birthday Party, 2023's Mutt. Much like his costar Jared Reinfeldt, Doman was also featured in the HBO Max reboot of Gossip Girl. Despite growing up in a religious family, Doman is an out queer man who's been speaking about queer representation for many years.
"Of course, for me, as a queer person, I'm always seeking out projects that give visibility and life to a new voice, a new face, and a new narrative," Doman said in an interview from 2017. "Especially one that has been created by a queer person and not necessarily a portrait of what someone believes a queer person should be."

Robin de Jesús

A three-time Tony Award nominee for his roles as Sonny in In the Heights, Jacob in La Cage aux Folles, and Emory in The Boys in the Band, Robin de Jesús will also star in Before I Do. His onscreen credits include Tick, Tick… BOOM!, Welcome to Chippendales, and Black Rabbit.
De Jesús is of Puerto Rican descent. He's also an out gay man. "The most masculine thing you can do is be courageous. Be that queer, gay, nelly boy. Live your life," he told The Advocate in 2018.

Nico Greetham

Nico Greetham is an actor, model, and dancer who literally competed in season 10 of So You Think You Can Dance. As an actor, he's starred in American Horror Story, The Prom film, Love, Victor, Birds of Prey, and Something Casual.
Greetham is also an out bisexual man, which he discussed in an episode from 2022 on the Oh Here We Go podcast.
