The 2025 Out100: Thomas Vince

These are the LGBTQ+ people making the world bolder and brighter in 2025.

As chief digital and marketing officer for L’Oréal USA’s Consumer Products Division, Thomas Vince leads marketing and digital transformation across the company s diverse portfolio of iconic brands like L’Oréal Paris, Maybelline, and Garnier. “My work sits at the intersection of culture and creativity,” he explains. “I push our brands to make sure we reflect the world we live in by bringing stories to life where all identities are represented and celebrated.”

Supporting the Ali Forney Center and Lambda Legal as well as sponsoring Pride marches and WNBA athletes is part of Vince s strategy. “We are constantly championing campaigns and partnerships that spotlight intersectional LGBTQ+ voices and expand representation in ways that drive change,” Vince says.

The cosmetics executive seeks to usher in a new era of beauty by breaking down barriers and providing access to everyone. “My mission is to create stories, campaigns, and moments where everyone feels visible, valued, and beautiful. I want the world to know that representation is not just possible, it’s powerful.” @lorealparis

The 2025 Out100: Marcie Turney & Valerie Safran

These are the LGBTQ+ people making the world bolder and brighter in 2025.

Chef Marcie Turney and partner Valerie Safran don’t just serve cuisine in their award winning restaurants like Barbuzzo, Little Nonna’s, Darling Jack’s Tavern, and Bud & Marilyn’s in Philadelphia’s Midtown Village. They say they also “provide comfort and enjoyment and a break from the routine and hardships of life.” The same applies to the group of boutique stores like Open House and Verde that are also operated by Safran Turney Hospitality. These stores are for “offering little moments that make people smile.”

In addition to bringing cheer and revitalization to the City of Brotherly Love’s gayborhood, Turney and Safran tackle the work of raising a family. “Being parents is the hardest job we’ve ever had, but we love it!” they say. “Seeing our daughters grow up, be happy and healthy, love each other … those are our proudest moments.”

Can’t make it to Midtown Village for a meal? There’s now a Bud & Marilyn’s outpost at the Philadelphia International Airport. And the lesbian couple tease that they’re “playing with an idea for another concept along another famous corridor in the city, one very famous for cheesesteaks.” @valeriesafran @marcieturney
