If you're anything like us, you're a huge fan of Jonathan Bennett and his husband, Jaymes Vaughan.
Whether you know Bennett from Mean Girls, his queer Hallmark Channel movies, or his time on Broadway, Bennett is a beacon of positivity, inspiration, and love. Now, he's opened up to the public about a health issue his husband has had for nearly his entire adult life.
The actor shared a clip of the two of them out having breakfast with text that reads: "My husband has a condition that made it impossible for him to eat without throwing up for almost his entire adult life. Yesterday, he got the procedure to open up his throat, and this is his first meal after fixing what’s called a Schatzki ring."
"A Schatzki ring, also known as a lower esophageal ring, is a ring of tissue that forms at the lower end of the esophagus, near where it connects with the stomach. It can make eating incredibly difficult," he added. "Sharing this in case it could help someone who has this condition but didn’t know about it for 20 years, like my husband."
In the video, Vaughan gets emotional after eating some bites of an omelette and hash browns, saying, "Oh my god, babe. Is this what it's like when you eat and it goes down?"
Fans are celebrating the moment in the comments and thanking Bennett and Vaughan for opening up and spreading awareness about the condition.
