As the weather gets colder, are you heating up by watching HBO Max and Crave Canada's sexy sports romance Heated Rivalry?
Heated Rivalry follows star hockey players Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams) and Ilya Rozanov (Connor Storrie), who form a rivalry on the ice and a romance off it!
The sexy six-episode TV show is an adaptation of Rachel Reid's Game Changers novels, and new episodes drop each Friday on HBO Max. Of course, gay fans are going crazy over this new show. Check out our link to see what they're saying!
The two stars of the show, as well as the showrunner, Jacob Tierney, sat down with OutOut to talk about the new series and the casting process.
"I read with one other possible Ilya, and it was good," Hudson Williams, who plays Shane in the series, says. "But something about Connor… There was an inexplicable X-factor that just felt realer than what I thought it could possibly be. And that was something. I had a quote I told Jacob, at one point, about my read with Connor in particular. [To Jacob] Do you know it?"
Tierney replies, "I do, but are we going to say it out loud?"
"I don't remember the exact quote," Williams explains, referencing something that he said after doing a chemistry test with Storrie. "Can you say it for me?"
The Heated Rivalry showrunner says, "Hudson told me, 'The other guy was good, but Connor felt like he was going to pin me down and fuck me.'"
