Paramount Network and BET released the first official trailer for Rest in Power: The Trayvon Martin Story -- a powerful six-part series that recounts the 2012 shooting that polarized the nation and gave rise to the #BlackLivesMatter movement.
Premiering on the Paramount Network on July 30 at 10 p.m, the film's executive producer is none other than by Jay-Z (credited as Shawn Carter), and features a number of interviews, including those from Martin's parents, Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin, as well as the family's lawyer, Benjamin Crump, the Rev. Al Sharpton, Carmelo Anthony, Angela Davis and others.
The series will also detail the signficant cultural and societal aftermath of the tragedy following shooter, George Zimmerman's, acquittal.
