Seattle-based Filson has been known for its sturdy made-in-USA coats and leather bags since the early 1900s, but it's also a fervent defensor of our wildlife and forests. This summer, the brand enlisted a special spokesperson to celebrate its commitment to prevent wildfires: the uber-famous Smokey Bear.
A beloved icon and a symbol of responsible adventure since his birth, in 1944, Smokey Bear is back in a capsule collection to help you channel your inner boy (or girl) scout. According to Smokey's official website, more than 2 million acres of forest were lost last year to human-caused wildfires.
To keep nature on watch, the centerpiece of the collection is a glow-in-the-dark timepiece with Smokey Bear's friendly face in the middle of the dial.
Limited to 1,000 pieces, the watch bears the mascot's slogan, "Only You Can Prevent Wildfires," and comes complete with a certificate of authenticity, a bandana, vintage-inspired Smokey Bear posters and postcards, and a book on the story of the fuzzy icon and Filson's long relationship with the outdoors.
There's also a virgin wool blanket made in partnership with Pendleton, a cap, and a water bottle to keep you covered and hydrated during your next escapade into the woods. And at 72 years young, Smokey Bear has never looked hotter.
Smokey Bear x Filson: T-shirt, $38; watch, $1,000; blanket, $300; cap, $45; water bottle, $28.
