Out exclusively premieres the third installment of Nasty Pig's iconic campaign "Real Nasty Pigs of New York" featuring Brian Sims, Luxx Noir London, Jake Cornell, Violet Chachki, Demetre Daskalakis, Griffin Maxwell Brooks, Charles Renfro, and Project Runway twins Jesus and Antonio Estrada.
Known for spotlighting queer authenticity, creativity, and community, this year's "Real Nasty Pigs of New York" is raising funds for the Ali Forney Center — an organization "committed to saving the lives of LGBTQ+ and at-risk young people" experiencing homelessness.
The first two installments of "Real Nasty Pigs of New York" included queer stars such as Billy Porter, Kandy Muse, Matt Rogers, and Alan Cumming. For this third edition, the campaign reflects what Nasty Pig CEO and co-owner David Lauterstein calls, "your favorite queer celebrity's favorite queer celebrities."

Lauterstein writes, "When it comes to the Real Nasty Pigs, we look for people who are first and foremost authentic in their identities. Authenticity is at the root of what Nasty Pig stands for. In a world where it's becoming harder to know what's real, we sought out the realest people this city has to offer."
"With so much noise in the world — especially politically — it felt important to include voices like Brian Sims and Demetre Daskalakis," Lauterstein adds. "Visibility matters. Leadership matters. Representation across all arenas of life matters."

Sam Waxman, Nasty Pig's longtime collaborator and in-house Art Director since 2024, took a "minimalist approach" for this latest installment of "Real Nasty Pigs of New York," which focused on the models and celebrated how they choose to express themselves.
"The lighting is intentional, the setting is simple, and the subjects are front and center," Lauterstein says of Waxman's work. "Sam created a style that allows their personalities to come through, unfiltered."

Nasty Pig was founded in 1994 by husbands David Lauterstein and Frederick Kearney in New York City. Since then, the brand's perspective has certainly been influenced by the city where it was originated. "New York doesn't ask you to be anything other than who you are — it demands it," Lauterstein explains. "This campaign is our way of honoring the people who lead with truth, creativity, and courage, and who continue to push our community forward simply by being themselves."
"We love to challenge people's perceptions of what Nasty Pig is and who we dress," Lauterstein says, teasing that the campaign previews the future of Nasty Pig within queer culture. "We make so much more than jockstraps. Highlighting our full collection on this cast of queer luminaries shows that anyone embracing their sexuality and queer identity can be a Nasty Pig."
