Lumity Shared Their First Kiss on 'The Owl House' & It Was Wonderful

toh

Crikey! What a beautiful moment!

As the second and penultimate season of Disney's groundbreaking cartoon The Owl House wraps up, big things are happening, and not just when it comes to Emperor Belos and the Day of Unity.

In the latest episode of the beloved cartoon about a human girl who stumbles into a world of witches and demons, Luz Noceda, our plucky protagonist, shared her first kiss with her girlfriend, the witch Amity Blight!

It took until halfway through 2022, but Disney has its first same-sex kiss between lead characters in a cartoon thanks to Dana Terrace and The Owl House crew!

The moment came in a perfectly romantic way, with Amity being locked in her bedroom after her mother had sided with Belos. While she's fretting about what to do, her heroic girlfriend comes in on a pile of vines and flowers through the window after beating up the guards outside.

Amity quickly jumps into Luz's arms and kisses her before she has a chance to think about it.

After the kiss, both of them are fittingly adorable, with Luz letting out a "crikey" and then blushing.

"I can't believe I just did that," Amity says.

"I can't believe I just said that! Crikey? Why did I even think that??" Luz shouts.

Now, as the season two finale approaches, Luz is about to face off against Belos, so the kiss came just at the right time, offering her the love and hope she needs to win the fight. After that, we just have season three (which will consist of three 44-minute specials) and the show is over forever. What a beautiful journey it's been.

The two characters became girlfriends in the first half of season two of the show, and have had some truly adorable moments since then, but they still hadn't kissed. We can't wait to see what happens with their relationship in the final season!

You can watch past episodes of The Owl House on Disney+, and the season two finale airs on the Disney Channel this Saturday at 9am ET.
