Hello Out readers!
Have you watched the popular Netflix show The Hunting Wives? At first, it may seem like a typical drama about rich, white, conservative women, but once you start watching, you realize there's a sapphic undertone to the whole thing!
The Hunting Wives stars Brittany Snow (one of the few Pitch Perfect stars who hasn't come out as queer) as a woman who moves from Massachusetts to Texas with her male partner. There, she's introduced to a new group of female friends led by Malin Akerman's Margo.
"The series weaves a tangled web of passion, betrayal, and mystery centered on Margo — a magnetic queen bee whose pull is impossible to resist," Out's Jade Delgado wrote.
It's a tangled web of sapphic hookups, with several characters going behind their husbands' backs to have fun and create complications.
Now, fans are begging for a second season!
"We are waiting to hear. I really, really hope so," May Cobb, author of the book series that inspired the show, said during an interview. "I feel like there is so much more story to be told. It ends on a cliffhanger, and also, the cast and crew were so wonderful. We all just want to get back together and work together again."
Hopefully, that means we'll have more sapphic chaos in our futures!
