Plainclothes star Russell Tovey spilled some Hollywood secrets on Sunday, when he and costar Tom Blyth went on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen to talk about their new film.
In the movie, Blyth plays a young, closeted police officer tasked with going undercover in gay cruising spots and arresting men who try to have sex with him. Tovey plays a kind, older man whom Blyth is supposed to target, but ends up falling for instead.
On WWHL, an audience member had a spicy question for Tovey: Who's been his favorite onstage or on-screen kiss?
"You and Tom do pretty well — yes — but besides Tom," Cohen jumped in to add, after the two actors shot each other a look.
"So I can't say Tom?" Tovey replied, which prompted Cohen to ask if Blyth was a good kisser. "It's beautiful — very soft lips. Yeah, he looks after me."
Then, Tovey gave his real answer.
"I quite enjoyed kissing Jonathan Groff in Looking," the actor said. "We did a lot of kissing in Looking, and we had a very nice time on that. I've been very lucky, I've kissed a lot of very attractive people, all genders."

In a recent interview with Out, Tovey said he used his role in Plainclothes to embrace his new "Daddy" image as a veteran actor.
"Yeah, I embrace Daddy," Tovey said. "I mean, Pedro Pascal says, 'Daddy is a state of mind,' but also I think realistically, I'm a dad age, so state of mind and state of play."
Laughing, he added, "I've been doing this [acting] for years. I think we sort of transition into all these other roles, and now I've got children — on-screen children, not off-screen, [that] I know of."
Plainclothes is in theaters now.
