Tefi Pessoa is a certified yapper. The influencer already wears many hats as a content creator: A celebrity gossip historian, a 365 party girl, and a fashion it-girl. Now, she's adding podcaster to her resume. While this isn't Pessoa's first time dabbling in the medium, she is trying a new format and putting her encyclopedic knowledge of celebrity culture to good use with a new show distributed by The Cut/Vox Media called Tefi Talks. Each week, she takes her over 2.3 million followers on a deep dive into the most pressing entertainment gossip of the week.
As with all new shows, the early days are reserved for perfecting the format and experimenting with new ideas. For her first live show at The Cut cafe in Tribeca, Pessoa brought on her friend and fellow influencer, Remi Bader, for a live recording of the show. The influencer found an audience during her rise to viral fame, when she began posting her comprehensive analytical takes on celebrity news through short YouTube videos. That later turned into an interview-style show called This is My Super Bowl, where she invited a few of her famous friends to answer questions she had picked out of a bowl.
Pessoa feels like she's finally found the format of a show that works best for her — and, a month into releasing regular episodes, she's ready for what this new podcast could become. "I wanted it to be more in-depth with more support so I can really get into the nitty-gritty and make it fun," she tells Out. "I want their first season to be mainly me so that people get to know me," but as the show goes on, she wants her guests to be a part of the office-themed world she's building.

On TikTok, Pessoa is known for her in-depth breakdowns of celebrity lore, where she educates her followers on some of the biggest — and/or forgotten — moments in Hollywood history. This could be a look at Sandra Bullock and Matthew McConaughey's relationship or the turbulent years of Fleetwood Mac during the Rumors era. When making these videos, she worked with a researcher who she brought over with her to work on the podcast.
When it comes to thinking about what the future of her show looks like, she said she wants to try it all. "I want to do little bits where we act out different scenarios like a scene where Britney Spears called Justin Timberlake to tell him she kissed Madonna at the VMAs," she continued. "I want to have a moment where celebrities come in to talk about pop culture moments we don't know about... at the end of the day, i want to deepen the lore."

Pessoa's career is already on the upswing, and it's showing no sign of stopping down. She's already been featured on TIME's Top 100 Creators list and its Latino Leaders list. She she also nabbed a spot on Rolling Stone's 2025 Most Influential Creators list (yes, the one that caused the beef between Caleb Hearon and MrBeast).
With a month under her belt, she still has so much more room to grow and all she needs to do is keep on yapping.
