45 actors who showed bare ass in movies and TV shows
These booties deserve a standing ovation.
(L-R) Jay Ellis on Insecure; Agustín Della Corte on Olympo; Josh O'Connor in Challengers.
HBO; Netflix; Amazon MGM Studios
After decades of the male gaze dominating television and film by capturing the nudity of women, we’re finally starting to see a cultural shift where men’s bodies are also explored and shown on the screen. In fact, we’re getting more full-frontal scenes from male actors than ever in recent TV shows and movies.
But besides full frontal scenes, actors have also been showing their bare asses quite often in recent times. These scenes often happen while characters are taking a shower, walking around their homes, having sex, or even for no good reason at all. And hey, no complaints whatsoever!
Scroll through to check out actors who have shown ass in films and TV shows.
Paul Mescal — 'All of Us Strangers'
Paul Mescal in All of Us Strangers.
Searchlight Pictures
Paul Mescal is no stranger to nudity in film, and his bare ass was fully exposed in the critically acclaimed queer film All of Us Strangers. In a particular scene where Harry (Mescal) and Adam (Andrew Scott) are having passionate sex under the blue light, audiences get a clear view of Mescal’s naked behind.
Where to watch: All of Us Strangers is streaming on Hulu.
Nicholas Galitzine — 'Mary & George'
Nicholas Galitzine on Mary & George.
Starz
From Red, White & Royal Blue to Bottoms to The Idea of You to Mary & George, we've been obsessed with Nicholas Galitzine in the past few years! While he's been in quite a few sex scenes in those movies and TV shows, most of his naked scenes take place in the Mary & George limited series from Starz. That's a lot of butt!
Where to watch: Mary & George is streaming on Starz.
Gleb Abrosimov — 'Olympo'
Gleb Abrosimov on Olympo.
Netflix
Élite heartthrob Gleb Abrosimov returned to Netflix to star as Diego Sorokov, a closeted rugby player, on Olympo. It doesn't take very long for Abrosimov to have a sex scene with costar Agustín Della Corte — the male lead of the series who plays a gay rugby player called Roque Pérez — and for fans to get a full and extended shot of Abrosimov's behind.
Where to watch: Olympo is streaming on Netflix.
Charles Melton — 'May December'
Charles Melton in May December.
Netflix
Even though Joe (Charles Melton) was in a long-standing and scandalous relationship with Gracie (Julianne Moore), he still ended up having sex with Elizabeth (Natalie Portman) while the actress is in close proximity to them.
In this shocking sex scene between Joe and Elizabeth in Todd Haynes's May December, Melton's penis and ass are fully exposed to viewers.
Where to watch: May December is streaming on Netflix.
Taylor Zakhar Perez — 'Red, White & Royal Blue'
Taylor Zakhar Perez in Red, White & Royal Blue.
Amazon Studios
The world fell in love with Taylor Zakhar Perez through his portrayal of Alex in Red, White & Royal Blue. In one particular scene where the character of Alex is "caught" being in the same room as Prince Henry (played by Nicholas Galitzine), there's no time to get dressed before other people are already coming… so viewers get a full shot of Zakhar Perez's behind.
Where to watch: Red, White & Royal Blue is streaming on Prime Video.
Matt Bomer — 'Fellow Travelers'
Matt Bomer on Fellow Travelers.
Showtime
Fellow Travelers — easily one of the best queer TV shows of all time — had several nude scenes for its cast of stunning actors. Matt Bomer played Hawkins Fuller in this Showtime series: A closeted man who was married to a woman but had his queer escapades on the side.
Where to watch: Fellow Travelers is streaming on Paramount+.
Josh O'Connor — 'Challengers'
Josh O'Connor in Challengers.
Amazon MGM Studios
As Patrick, Josh O'Connor was absolutely magnetic throughout Challengers. His character's back-and-forth sexual tension with Art (Mike Faist) and Tashi (Zendaya) had us on the edge of our seats… Even though this was supposed to be a movie about tennis!
Anyway, O'Connor definitely shows his ass in the iconic sauna scene of Challengers, right in front of Faist, his costar.
Where to watch: Challengers is streaming on Prime Video.
Devin Way — 'Queer As Folk' (2022)
Devin Way on 2022's Queer As Folk.
Peacock
Devin Way played Brodie Beaumont on the 2022 reboot of Queer As Folk on Peacock. In one particular scene, Way went all the way and showed off his bare ass on TV. The queer folks watching the show had no complaints about that!
Where to watch: the 2022 reboot of Queer As Folk is streaming on Peacock.
Jonathan Bailey — 'Fellow Travelers'
Jonathan Bailey on Fellow Travelers.
Showtime
Jonathan Bailey also shows pretty much every angle of his naked body in his portrayal of Tim on Fellow Travelers. Most of his intimate scenes are with Hawkins, and the characters really just roll around naked together and show off their body parts like no one's watching.
Where to watch: Fellow Travelers is streaming on Paramount+.
Jordan Firstman — 'Rotting in the Sun'
Jordan Firstman in Rotting in the Sun.
MUBI
There was plenty of nudity in Rotting in the Sun, and a significant portion of the nudity came from Jordan Firstman. The actor had to get very comfortable with the nude scenes featured in this film, which were extremely graphic and realistic.
Where to watch: Rotting in the Sun is streaming on MUBI.
Glen Powell — 'Anyone But You'
Glen Powell in Anyone But You.
Sony Pictures
After showing his ass in a very steamy Men's Health photo shoot, Glen Powell had it in full display once again in a 2023 romantic comedy starring opposite Sydney Sweeney.
There was a lot to see in Anyone But You, and it was a big butt!
Where to watch: Anyone But You is streaming on Netflix.
Jelani Alladin — 'Fellow Travelers'
Jelani Alladin on Fellow Travelers.
Showtime
Jelani Alladin was quite a scene stealer on Showtime's Fellow Travelers, delivering a performance as Marcus that was delicate, powerful, and relatable. Even though this limited series didn't shy away from queer sex scenes, the gays were still thrilled to see Alladin showing off face and body during his naked scenes.
Where to watch: Fellow Travelers is streaming on Paramount+.
Adam Demos — 'Sex/Life'
Adam Demos on Sex/Life.
Netflix
Netflix's Sex/Life was basically a festival of nudity, and quite a few of them involved Adam Demos playing Brad Simon. Demos understood the assignment, and fans loved him for it.
Where to watch: Sex/Life is streaming on Netflix.
Pedro Pascal — 'Strange Way of Life'
Pedro Pascal in Strange Way of Life.
Sony Pictures Classic
Pedro Pascal showed his bare ass in Pedro Almodóvar's gay Western film Strange Way of Life.
In this short film, Pascal played Ethan Hawke's love interest. Well, "love" interest, because it's all pretty complicated. Things often get complicated in love stories between two queer cowboys on the big screen, don't they?
Where to watch: Strange Way of Life is available for rental on digital stores.
Alexander Skarsgård — 'True Blood'
Alexander Skarsgård on True Blood.
HBO Max
Alexander Skarsgård skyrocketed to heartthrob status during his portrayal of Eric Northman on True Blood. And, as expected, playing a horny vampire does require an actor to show a lot of skin.
Where to watch: True Blood is streaming on HBO Max.
Jacob Anderson — 'Game of Thrones'
Jacob Anderson on Game of Thrones.
HBO Max
People who didn't keep up with HBO's Game of Thrones have been getting to know Jacob Anderson for his work on AMC's Interview With the Vampire.
While there's certainly space to be held for Anderson's sex appeal as a vampire, lots of Game of Thrones fans already clocked the actor's body-ody-ody in the role of Grey Worm.
Where to watch: HBO Max.
Chris Evans — 'Not Another Teen Movie'
Chris Evans in Not Another Teen Movie.

Many years before he became Captain America — a character that was nicknamed "America's Ass" — in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Chris Evans had already shown his goodies in the 2001 comedy Not Another Teen Movie.

Kit Harington — 'Game of Thrones'
Kit Harington on Game of Thrones.

Where to watch: Looking is streaming on HBO Max.
Paul Mescal — 'Normal People'
Paul Mescal on Normal People.

Ah, the origin story for Paul Mescal… And look at him now!
Mescal's stunning performance as Connell on the BBC series Normal People was a career-changing moment for the actor. Since then, he's been cast in a string of back-to-back high-profile projects and played complex characters like Callum in 2022's Aftersun, Harry in 2023's All of Us Strangers, Lucius in 2024's The History of Sound, and Lionel in 2025's The History of Sound.
Where to watch: Normal People is streaming on Hulu.
Theo James — 'The White Lotus'
Theo James on The White Lotus season 2.

Another glorious ass moment on The White Lotus season 2 came from Theo James. In this hit series from bicon Mike White, the actor played Cameron Sullivan: An obnoxious man who was married to Daphne (Meghann Fahy), longtime friends with Ethan (Will Sharpe), and put Harper (Aubrey Plaza) in pretty uncomfortable situations.
When it comes to this HBO anthology: The messier, the better.
Where to watch: The White Lotus season 2 is streaming on HBO Max.
Will Sharpe — 'The White Lotus'

Kit Harington — 'Industry'
Kit Harington on Industry.
HBO Max
You know nothing, Jon Snow. Oops, wrong franchise!
Kit Harington returned to the HBO realm to play the smug — but still irresistible — Henry Muck in the third season of Industry. On the show, Harington was introduced as the CEO of a tech company called Lumi. Though Henry Muck was a quite a departure from Jon Snow on Game of Thrones, both projects had naked scenes from Harington.
Where to watch: Industry is streaming on HBO Max.
Chace Crawford — 'The Boys'
Chace Crawford on The Boys.
Prime Video
The Boys established its chaotic sense of humor about nudity from the very beginning. Chace Crawford, who played the super-himbo The Deep (a.k.a. Kevin Moskowitz) in the series, was featured in a merch calendar for the show with a bulge that seemed like he had a literal anaconda under his tight superhero costume.
As the season went on, The Boys took full advantage of having the handsome actor in the cast. Moreover, Crawford definitely understood the camp-y tone of the show, and seemingly had a blast playing the arrogant — but not very bright — superhero called The Deep.
Where to watch: The Boys is streaming on Prime Video.
Nick Sagar — 'Run the World'
Nick Sagar on Run The World.
Starz
Created by Leigh Davenport, Run the World ran for two seasons on Starz and featured glorious shots of series heartthrob Nick Sagar playing a character named Anderson. While the show wasn't renewed for season 3, fans are still thirsty for this character.
Where to watch: Run the World is available for rental on digital stores.
Harry Styles — 'My Policeman'
Harry Styles in My Policeman.
Prime Video
The hype and buzz surrounding Harry Styles's performance in My Policeman — as a queer character, no less! — had his fans losing their minds for quite a few months. There's plenty of disagreement about whether or not this movie worked as a vehicle to introduce Styles as a Hollywood leading man. But Styles looked great in it, and showed off more than most people thought, which was a win nonetheless.
Where to watch: My Policeman is streaming on Prime Video.
Adam Driver — 'Girls'
Adam Driver on Girls.
HBO Max
Some people took their time to acknowledge just how handsome Adam Driver has been since his breakout role on HBO's Girls. And, sure, the actor did get even more handsome as time went on. But the girlies watching Girls were already seeing the vision… And they were right.
Where to watch: Girls is streaming on HBO Max.
Agustín Della Corte — 'Olympo'
Agustín Della Corte on Olympo.
Netflix
From Paysandú, Uruguay, Agustín Della Corte competed for years as a professional rugby player and eventually started to pursue a career in acting. Corte's first-ever role, in the critically acclaimed film Society of the Snow, put him on the map. In 2025, the actor had an even bigger breakout performance as Roque Pérez on Olympo.
Roque, who is a main male character in the Netflix series, happens to be an out gay rugby player who has to navigate locker room chatter and the fact that opening up about his sexuality can cost him a sponsorship — which can essentially kill an athlete's overall career.
To the delight of many fans, Corte's performance includes a lot of bare ass shots, a few sex scenes, and even more than one significant love interest… which isn't that common for gay characters in ensemble shows!
Where to watch: Olympo is streaming on Netflix.
Jeremy Allen White — 'Shameless'
Jeremy Allen White on Shameless.
Showtime
Years and years before every living person on the planet would yell, "Yes, chef!" in his direction, Jeremy Allen White was already an established heartthrob on Showtime's Shameless. And, much like the title of the series suggests, the actor had no issues doing naked scenes.
Where to watch: Shameless is streaming on Netflix.
Antony Starr — 'The Boys'
Antony Starr on The Boys.
Prime Video
Fans of The Boys on Prime Video had different approaches to perceiving Homelander (played by Antony Starr) over the years. It was tough, during certain political eras, to have fun with a character as despicable and dangerous as Homelander.
However, if we stick to Starr's performance and the eye-candy he's given audiences in the Prime Video series, this role will be remembered for many years for all the funny, the sexy, and the scary reasons.
Where to watch: The Boys is streaming on Prime Video.
Cooper Koch — 'Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story'
Cooper Koch on Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story.
Netflix
Cooper Koch became a household name after his stellar performance as Erik Menéndez in the true-crime series Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story by Ryan Murphy.
Amid all the drama, chaos, allegations, and terror that involve this story, Koch had a fully naked scene in the shower that gave viewers a full display of everything in the front and everything in the back. Oh, and then Koch revealed that he did not wear any prosthetics when asked about that scene in an interview with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live. The nerve… The gays loved it.
Where to watch: Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story is streaming on Netflix.
Alex MacNicoll — 'Bad Monkey'
Alex MacNicoll on Bad Monkey.

Where to watch: Bad Monkey is streaming on Apple TV+.
John Cena — 'Trainwreck'
John Cena in Trainwreck.
Universal Pictures
John Cena isn't scared of getting naked and sweaty. We've seen it a bunch of times over the years, and notably also in the comedy feature Trainwreck as he was still building up an acting career in Hollywood.
Where to watch: Trainwreck is streaming on Netflix.
Jay Ellis — 'Insecure'
Jay Ellis on Insecure.
HBO Max
Longtime fans of Insecure have an odd relationship with Jay Ellis's character, Lawrence Walker, in this hilarious HBO series. Issa Rae (as Issa Dee) is a protagonist that everyone roots for… And let's just say that Lawrence isn't the most amazing boyfriend to Issa.
Beyond the shenanigans involving his character, though, Jay Ellis is a bona fide heartthrob on Insecure — one that tests our patience, but reels us right back in with his good looks, undeniable charisma, and kind heart. Ellis looks gorgeous in every single shot of Insecure, and there are several sex scenes showing his bare ass, too. Issa Rae knew what she was doing, and the gays thank her for it.
Where to watch: Insecure is streaming on HBO Max.
Ben Whishaw — 'Passages'
Ben Whishaw in Passages.
SBS Productions
Ben Whishaw (Martin) and Franz Rogowski (Tomas) play a gay couple that experiences a true roller-coaster ride of emotions in Passages. Between all the drama and shenanigans, Whishaw absolutely shows his ass cheeks in sex scenes with his costar.
Where to watch: Passages is streaming on MUBI.
Noah Centineo — 'The Recruit'
Noah Centineo on The Recruit.
Netflix
Netflix's The Recruit felt, in many ways, like a symbolic return of the film and TV heartthrob to the streaming service that catapulted his career. The actor, who dealt with substance abuse issues after reaching a new level of fame, also got to show his buttocks on the show.
Where to watch: The Recruit is streaming on Netflix.
Zac Efron — 'That Awkward Moment'
Zac Efron in That Awkward Moment.
