Celebrity Interns

HEY, ISN'T THAT...?
Even celebrity interns get to expense their commute.

Some people would be content to play hockey, pen best-sellers, or make platinum albums for a living. Others seek out new challenges -- and free press -- by trading world tours and autograph signing for Starbucks runs and invoice filing. Once the demeaning domain of desperate postgrads, the fashion/media internship has become the pastime du jour of the famous. And while their special status confers unexpected perks -- not every intern gets a front row seat at Fashion Week -- their minimum-wage paychecks prove that sometimes stars really are just like us. --Jessanne Collins
