The day has finally come: Madonna, still the titular Queen of Pop, begins her Rebel Heart Tour at the Bell Centre, in Montreal. And because she knows we can't wait to judge her new stage outfits, la Ciccone revealed the sketches of the costumes designed for her and her dancers by Alessandro Michele, Gucci's incumbant creative director.
The first sketch shows a costume made for Madge: an exotic gypsy dress, made with a lurex, lace, and jacquard bodysuit, and an embroidered belt. (We're feeling a "La Isla Bonita" moment, here.)
The second look is for her dancers, who will be wearing patchwork bodysuits with ruffles and multicolor trimmings, a large floral headpiece, and Tehuana-inspired capes embroidered with silk flowers.
"It has been a marvellous experience and a great gift collaborating with Madonna," Michele commented in a release. "Now that I have had the chance to see her working, I truly understand why she is so grand! I believe she is a true artist and I am crazy about her."
Madonna also said that she will wear designs by Jeremy Scott and Alexander Wang on tour.
