Editor's note: this post contains spoilers for the grand finale of HBO Max's Legendary season three.
The third season of Legendary has come to a close on HBO Max as a very interesting cycle for the reality competition series.
More than the first two seasons, season three of Legendary featured quite a few combative contestants who weren't all that pleased by the judges' critiques. Moreover, this season included certain houses that didn't seem entirely involved in the ballroom scene. Last but certainly not least, Legendary season three had a pretty clear frontrunner in the eyes of the viewers and the judges - something that hadn't yet happened in such a blatant way in previous years.
Nonetheless, this was yet another exciting outing for Legendary that served plenty of conflict between the judges themselves, drama between contestants and judges, and fierce competition among the houses. Now that the season has ended, it's time to look back at the overall Legendary season three leaderboard.
Scroll through to find out how each house ranked on Legendary season three, which is now streaming on HBO Max.
The House of Lyght received a very low score of 19 from the judges and fell into the bottom two during the first half of the grand premiere of Legendary season three. After battling it out with House of Makaveli, the House of Lyght became the first-eliminated group of the season.
The second premiere episode of Legendary season three had a bottom two that consisted of the House of Du'Mure-Versailles and the House of Ada. After a vogue redemption battle between Cotton Du'Mure-Versailles and Virgo Ada, the House of Du'Mure-Versailles ended up being sent home.
The House of LaBeija received the lowest score of episode three but was rewarded with a "gag flag" that saved it from elimination. As a result, the House of Alain Mikli fell into the bottom two and battled against the House of Makaveli. This was one of Goldie Makaveli's various impressive performances on the show - and it ultimately saved the Makavelis from getting the chop this week. As a result, the House of Alain Mikli was eliminated in eighth place.
This week, the House of Makaveli once again received the lowest score of the night (27) but ended up winning the vogue redemption battle against the House of Ada, which scored a rather high 37 points in episode four. Nonetheless, it usually all comes down to that redemption battle, which caused the House of Ada to go home.
The House of LaBeija placed sixth on Legendary season three afer getting a score of 33 and losing the vogue redemption battle to the House of Alpha Omega in episode five. In this particular battle, Father Renaldo Alpha Omega faced off against Zenith LaBeija and was ultimately deemed the winner by the judges.
After landing in the bottom two in episode five and then underperforming yet again in episode six, it became pretty impossible for the House of Alpha Omega to avoid getting eliminated. This week, the Alpha Omegas scored a 39 and faced off against Goldie Makaveli in the redemption battle. As expected, Goldie once again saved the House of Makaveli.
The House of Makaveli saved itself from getting the chop several times, but their elimination finally came in episode eight after receiving a score of 38. This time, Mother Jada Makaveli spared Goldie and chose to battle against the House of Revlon in the vogue redemption battle. Unfortunately for the Makavelis, this was their time to go home in fourth place.
The top three consisted of the House of Revlon, the House of Yohji Yamamoto, and the House of Juicy Couture. As the entire season's frontrunner, the House of Juicy Couture was once again deemed the Superior House of the week. After the pretty exciting redemption battle between Divo Yamamoto and Mother Keiona Revlon, the House of Revlon was sent home in third place - right before the grand finale of season three.
The House of Yohji Yamamoto arrived to the grand finale of Legendary as the underdogs, but they fought their hardest to go up against the House of Juicy Couture. Still, the performance served by the Yohji Yamamotos just wasn't enough to stop the momentum that Juicy had been building up week after week. In the end, the House of Yohji Yamamoto finished as the runner-up of Legendary season three.
After being the Superior House of Legendary for as many as five weeks and never landing in the bottom even one time, it didn't come as a huge surprise when the House of Juicy Couture was crowned the winner of season three. Still, this was a pretty historic moment for the series given that Juicy came in as a "Kiki House" and was theoretically not as experienced in ballroom as the other houses on the show. With such a perfect track record, though, no one could contest that Juicy Couture was the rightful winner of Legendary this year.
