Joanne the Scammer is coming off of the internet and into the realm of television.
According to Dazed, the online sensation who's dominated Instagram, Vine, and YouTube for years is now making her foray into a half-hour show produced by Super Deluxe. Branden Miller, the comedian behind the character, has been working with the video site for two years creating content such as Caucasian Living With Joanne the Scammer and the Thelma & Louise-inspired Khadi & Joanne.
The half hour show will expand on sketches we've seen of Joanne already. It's written by Parks & Recreation scribe Joe Mande and Chelsea Perretti will serve as executive producer.
Miller told Janet Mock on her podcast Never Before: "If you know Joanne on Instagram, there are little snippets of her life. Instagram gives you one minute of that, the show will give you the whole storyline."
Joanne's show doesn't yet have a network, but is expected to be a hot commodity. It's one of approximately 50 new shows Super Deluxe is currently developing.
Whilst we await this glorious new program, take a look at some of Joanne and Super Deluxe's collaborations so far:
