On Thursday, Adam Rippon, Olympic figure skater and the first openly gay U.S. athlete to ever compete in the Winter Olympics, proved once again why he’s a fan favorite both on and off the ice. In an interview with NBC’s Andrea Joyce, his quick wit delighted fans and caused social media to light up.

“You’re 28 years old, skating the best you ever have in your life. How do you explain that to people?” Joyce asked Rippon.
“I can’t explain witchcraft,” Rippon said.
Rippon’s witchy ways won him a bronze medal for skating on February 12.
"I feel like I am ready for lunch and a good nap,” Rippon said after his skate.
