It's cuddle season!
Jonathan Bennett and Jaymes Vaughan have easily secured their spot as one of the most loved gay celebrity couples in the entertainment industry. The gay husbands proudly support each other on all of their professional endeavors and make it a priority to enjoy a nice vacation from time to time.
Although the two spend a lot of quality time together, the holidays prove to be a very busy time as Bennett picks up his exciting TV gigs. Leading up to Halloween, the actor has scored a new role on General Hospital as Detective Joe Fitzpatrick. Fans speculate he's positioned as a gay love interest for Lucas Jones (played by Van Hansis) and the viral shirtless scenes are only fueling the fire.
"I'm so excited for the audience to see where my character goes on General Hospital. It's going to be monumental and I think people are going to love it. I was shirtless in an episode and so petrified to shoot it. I wanted to look my best and feel good. I really worked hard to get my body to a good place and I did it," Bennett tells Out.
Since Bennett has made quite a splash so far on General Hospital, he's picking up even more shirtless scenes that fans are eager to watch in upcoming episodes.
"I think I shot myself in the foot! Now that I did it once and it turned out well, every few weeks I read a script and I'm coming out of the shower, changing my shirt, or in the bathtub. If you stay ready, you don't have to get ready! I'm in the gym more, I have a better diet. You have to stay healthy if you're going to be shirtless every few weeks! I'm gay, an only child, and an actor. Of course I love the attention!"
Although fans are loving Bennett's new role on the hit ABC soap opera, nobody is loving his latest TV gig more than his supportive husband. After all, his gym regimen is giving him incredible results.
"Jaymes loves it! He grabs my chest all the time now. I'm always all over him and grabbing his muscles. Now, he's grabbing my muscles! I objectify my husband all the time! Go on my Instagram. I'll show you anything you want to see."
Besides his evolving storyline on General Hospital, Bennett is continuing to make the yuletide gay by returning as host to Halloween Wars and starring in more holiday content for Hallmark Channel. This time of year is very special for Bennett as he recalls meeting his husband for the first time while promoting Halloween Wars.
"I owe my marriage to Halloween Wars! I would not have met my husband if it wasn't for Halloween Wars. He was hosting Celebrity Page and I went on his show to promote Halloween Wars. That's how I met my husband! Every time it comes around, it takes me back to the time I met Jaymes."
