Adam Rippon has once again proven himself the gay hero we need representing our country at the Olympics this year. Responding to more online haters over Twitter today, Rippon used an iconic Kennedy Davenport line to show just how much he came to slay.
To Twitter users tweeting that they hoped Rippon failed, the skating sensation, who just picked up a bronze medal in last night's free skate routine, said:
“To all those who tweet at me saying that they “hope I fail”, I have failed many times many times in my life. But more importantly, I’ve learned from every setback, proudly own up to my mistakes, grown from disappointments, and now I’m a glamazon bitch ready for the runway.”— Adam Rippon (@Adam Rippon) 1518528084
It's of course a reference to Kennedy's powerful words from this important Untucked clip:
This is not the first time Rippon has come for his naysayers over Twitter--just last week he shared this sass:
“The REAL one for I did for TV says “my mom” but, like, I needed this one for myself because it was the first thing that actually popped in my head and I thought I was so funny.”— Adam Rippon (@Adam Rippon) 1517816360
