Reneé Rapp may be about to release an album, but she's reminding her fans that she's also a talented actor.
Rapp, whose second album, Bite Me, will be released on Friday, August 1, was talking with Elle when she flexed her acting skills to perfectly troll several of her famous friends.
As a part of Elle Magazine's Phoning It In series, celebrities call up some of the people closest to them, only to prank call them on camera. Rapp called up several of her famous friends and showed just how convincing she can be.
Watch the calls below.

Rapp's first call was to her friend, influencer Jake Shane, who right away asks if she's doing an Elle prank call! Rapp isn't deterred and lies her ass off, telling him it's not a prank. She then confesses that she cheated on her girlfriend with a man and is now pregnant. It's not until Shane offers to drive over to her house to help that she admits the truth.
@ellemagazine @reneé’s range ... We're in awe with you, @Towa Bird. #ReneeRapp #TowaBird #PhoningItIn
In this call with her girlfriend, Towa Bird, Rapp says that she got in a fight and hit someone who fell and hit their head. Now, she says she's being detained by the police. Bird is immediately sympathetic and helpful. Rapp puts on an Oscar-worthy performance, full-on sobbing right before looking into the camera and smiling.

Rapp also calls up her SNL star Bowen Yang, claiming to have hit his boss Lorne Michaels with her car. Once again, Yang is a total sweetheart, assuring her that "nothing bad is gonna happen." Again, Rapp is able to switch between crying and panicking, and laughing and smiling perfectly.
"Oscar for that," Yang said. We have to agree.
