While many retailers and designers have already responded to the question How high will you jump for Anna Wintour? (Answer: Very), the dastardly duo behind Shipley & Halmos have decided to take a much more tongue-in-cheek approach to the fashion-mandated holiday. While most people may see the the event as a glamorous mash-up of celebrity and fashion (not Cathy Horyn) -- Sam Shipley and Jeff Halmos see right through any artifice of elegance. Instead, they're offering a bit of practical magic, as it were, to help you navigate the throngs of deal-hungry shoppers and fame-hunting hooligans. Included in their nifty FNO-preparedness kit (seeing as FNO is bound to wreak more havoc than the lackluster Irene did) is water and trail-mix for sustenance, a large foam hand-sign to wave down a taxi when you're drunk and ready to go home, a $5 Metrocard for when you can't find said taxi, and an "I Love Anna" pin -- to make sure you're always in the Queen's good graces. All for a mere $35 and available here. It's the first sensible thing to be offered for the "holiday".
