The Murse (Male Purse) Gets Analyzed

While girls are crazy for accessories -- from shoes to jewelry and everything in between --The Wall Street Journal published an article today about what is possibly the most important male accessory: his bag. They consulted Coach's Vice President of Male Merchandising, Greg Unis, who is obviously an expert on the subject. In it Unis implies that a man's bag says as much about him as anything else: "I sometimes see men carrying bags that look old and worn out, that sends a message that you're not so put together and that you don't pay attention to detail," he says. He suggests that men have two bags: one for business and one for casual situations. He uses a leather tote for his professional endeavors and a messenger bag for more relaxed outings, but also mentions that versatility and functional are crucial.

With the weather warming up and your wardrobe getting stripped of layers of jackets and coats with their practical pockets, its time to start thinking of how you're going to be carrying around all your personal necessities. Luckily for us boys, there's a wide variety to choose from in terms of price point -- from youthful and cost-friendly places like American Apparel and Urban Outfitters, to more luxurious, not to mention pricey, options.

So what's your favorite type of man bag? And how do you wear it?
