If you always secretly thought that the only thing that would make The L Word better is if it were a little more like the Real Housewives, well, today's your day. Showtime has announced plans to revive the recently demised dramatic series in a handy reality format, to be dubbed The Real L World: Los Angeles. Developed by original L Word-creator Ilene Chaiken and the producers of Top Chef, the show will follow six L.A. lesbians as they go about their "real" lives. "Even though we concluded our sixth season of The L Word on Showtime this past March, I believe we are not nearly finished telling our L Word stories," Chaiken told Variety. "Showtime has yet again come forward to continue with us this mission to ... bring more 'L' to the world." Depending on casting (read: the availability of narcissistic, volatile, leggy lesbians in sufficient quantities), the show should premiere next year.
