> En Vogue reunited to perform at the Essence Music Festival last week, and according to the Hollywood Reporter "they're hoping for a larger comeback later this year with a new album... [and] they're also considering a move into reality TV." And here we thought we were never gonna get it!

> Also happening: a scary sounding live action/animated hybrid Smurfs remake. Raja Gosnell (Scooby-Doo, Beverly Hills Chihuahua) has signed on to direct, which prompted Jordan Kerner (or an overzealous publicist scribing away on his behalf) to proclaim "Our three-apple-high heroes are in good hands, and we feel absolutely positively Smurfy to be working with him." Smurferiously?

> Last month, the gayest straight actor-cum-artiste of our time, James Franco, bailed on his UCLA commencement speech after unimpressed graduates launched a few pre-emptive buckets of Facebook tomatoes at him. Today, we enjoyed some behind the scenes footage of what might have been.
