10 Drag Queens With the Most Listeners on Spotify
These are the queens whose music the world loves — and streams — the most!
With the exception of RuPaul becoming a mainstream superstar with in the 1990s with the hit single "Supermodel (You Better Work)," it's been extremely hard for drag performers to be taken seriously by the music industry over the years. Fortunately, though, this has been slowly changing over the years.
One of the biggest pushes for drag artists to become legitimate popstars has come from the queens who competed on RuPaul's Drag Race. For instance, former contestants like Adore Delano, Courtney Act, Jinkx Monsoon, and Ginger Minj have all contributed to drag musicians being taken more seriously by mainstream audiences.
Another big push for drag performers in music has come from Latin America. Namely queens like Pabllo Vittar and Gloria Groove, who are legitimately breaking ground when it comes to taking drag further into mainstream music than it's ever been before. This impact has also been felt in the U.S., with Brazilian contestant Grag Queen winning the singing competition Queen of the Universe in 2021.
Scroll through to discover the top 10 most popular drag queens on Spotify (per monthly listeners).
