Ziwe's George Santos Interview Is Finally Out & Yes, It's Absolutely Insane

At one point during their chat, the disgraced former congressman even asks "Who the hell is James Baldwin?"

Is George Santos’ minute in the spotlight over yet?

The disgraced former congressman, who was recently expelled from the House of Representatives as he faces federal charges including fraud and identity theft, is making the rounds in the media and recently stopped by for a chat with celebrity interviewer Ziwe.

While Ziwe at first was criticized for reaching out to Santos for an interview, she followed through and talked to the national embarrassment about politics, fashion, pop culture, and being a liar.

The interview begins with the claim that Santos asked to be paid three times for the interview, but Ziwe and her people shut that idea down. From there, things don’t really get better.

One part (that has us wanting to die and be buried in an anonymous grave) of particular interest is a segment where Ziwe lists several figures from LGBTQ+ history and asks his perspective on them.

“Marsha P. Johnson,” Ziwe names first.

“Very respectful, honorable person. Keep going,” Santos says, prompting Ziwe to ask what he means, as Johnson was famous for eschewing respectability politics like when she took part in the Stonewall Riot.

“On all the stances and all the work,” Santos insists.

Next, Ziwe named famous writer James Baldwin. “Huh? Who the hell is James Baldwin? Who’s James Baldwin?” he replied dully.

“Harvey Milk?” Ziwe asked next.

“I have no clue who that is,” Santos said. He did, however, know who Bowen Yang and Nicki Minaj are.

Elsewhere in the interview, Santos claims he has “more Black friends than I can count,” says he won’t rule out running for office in the future, claims Nancy Pelosi had a role in the January 6 riots, says he could beat “all” congress members in a Lip Synch Battle, is unable to define the word “empathy,” and stands by his statement that drag queens are dangerous to children.

Later, Ziwe asks what we’ve all been wondering: “What can we do to get you to go away?”

“Stop inviting me to your gigs,” Santos replies.

“The lesson is to stop inviting you places,” Ziwe says.

“But you can’t,” Santos replies. “Cause people want the content.”

Hopefully, this interview is the last Santos content we see for a long, long, long time. You can watch below.
