It’s Sexiest Man Alive season!

People Magazine is teasing the annual Sexiest Man Alive issue for 2023, and we can’t wait to see which hunk makes the cover!

While an out gay man has never been on the cover of the Sexiest Man issue, plenty of gay favorites like David Beckham, Hugh Jackman, George Clooney, Michael B. Jordan, and Chris Evans have appeared.

This year, though, we think it’s about time for a gay heartthrob to be the Sexiest Man Alive, and we think these 11 men would be perfect for it...

1. Omar Apollo

Grammy nominated singer Omar Apollo has always been hot, but this year he reached all new heights, including when he released a new EP Live For Me that features a naked painting of him on it. We’d love to see People recreate the image in a photoshoot!

2. Troye Sivan

Face card, no cash, no credit! That perfectly sums up our feelings for Troye Sivan! The Australian singer released his album Something to Give Each Other this year, featuring singles like “Rush” and “One of Your Girls,” where he reminded us all why we have a crush on this legendary twink!

3. Ncuti Gatwa

The Sex Education, Barbie, and soon-to-be Doctor Who star has been winning our hearts for years, but this year he came out, and permanently cemented his status as one of the Sexiest Queer Men Alive.

4. Zane Phillips

Fire Island and Glamorous hunk Zane Phillips is the muscle-man of our dreams and we fell hard and fast for him every time he showed off his arms, abs, or legs. Matt Rogers also thinks he’s one of the sexiest men alive, featuring him heavily in his new music video for “Also It’s Christmas.”

5. Omar Ayuso

Even though he’s graduated from Las Encinas, Omar Shanaa is still our favorite character on Élite, and that’s because of the terrific and sexy performance by actor Omar Ayuso!

A third actor from Fellow Travelers, Jelani Alladin plays journalist Marcus Hooks in the show and he is absolutely stunning. Aladdin brings quiet confidence, an edge of healthy masculinity, and strong elegance to everything he does, and we can’t help but find him sexy.

10. Colman Domingo

Talk about a Daddy! Colman Domingo has been acting for decades, starring in roles in projects like Fear the Walking Dead, Euphoria, If Beale Street Could Talk, and Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, and he brings his mature sexiness to the Netflix biopic Rustin later this year.
