Margot Robbie knows what the people want, and she wants it too.
Over the last several years, DC anti-hero Harley Quinn has become one of the highest-profile queer superheroes. In both the comic books and her self-titled HBO Max animated show, Harley is happily queer and dating or married to fellow supervillain Poison Ivy.
However, we've yet to see that relationship make the jump to the screens of live-action films. But could that all be changing soon?
ComicBook.com recently asked Robbie about the chances that we'd get to see a Harlivy romance in live action, and she answered emphatically.
"I have been pushing for that for years. I cannot tell you how hard I've been pushing for that. I want it too," she said.
When they asked if she had ideas for casting for Ivy, she wasn't so sure. "Honestly, when I pictured, I always picture like Poison Ivy in the comics. I don't really actually picture an actress doing it, but I agree, that would be so good."
While Robbie doesn't have any casting ideas, we certainly do. We've been obsessed with the idea of bicon Megan Fox as Ivy, and other actors like Kehlani, Sepideh Moafi, Keke Palmer, and Ana de Armas would also be amazing.

With James Gunn now in the driver's seat of the DCEU, perhaps it will finally happen. While Gunn is himself a cis, straight man, his superhero projects have been some of the most diverse.
This includes featuring queer characters Harley Quinn and Savant in his The Suicide Squad film, having the title character in Peacemaker be bisexual, and having another lead character in the show be a lesbian. Hopefully, he'll continue that trend of diversity in his projects!
