American Horror Story Just Confirmed One of Its Monsters
A long-awaited villain is coming to AHS: Double Feature!
It seems like Ryan Murphy has just confirmed that the latest season of American Horror Story, titled Double Feature, will feature aliens!
American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy shared a new teaser for AHS: Double Feature, and it gives us the best look at some of the upcoming season's monsters we've had yet! The image even confirms a monster fans have been waiting a long time for: aliens!
Ever since aliens were first featured in the Asylum season of AHS, fans have been wanting more. That season featured an abduction storyline, but shied away from giving us a good look at the aliens themselves, instead giving us only glimpses. This new teaser puts the alien front and center.
It shows a large green figure with giant, black eyes and elongated fingers and tongue making out with a pale figure with sharp teeth. The two have a black pill on their tongues between them.
The image also features the sharp-toothed, long-tongued, pale creature from other teaser art that we've seen a few times. A lot of fans think this character could be either a mermaid or a vampire.
Murphy has promised us that this season will bring two stories, "one by the sea" and "one by the sand." He's also posted a teaser image featuring pale hands climbing onto the land from the ocean with the caption, "things are beginning to wash up on shore." Because of these clues, a lot of fans think that mermaids or sirens will play a large part in Double Feature, and many think the sharp-toothed figure is one of those.
However, Murphy also teased a look at some of the monsters from this season in a post he captioned "night moves," and those monsters look distinctly Nosferatu-esque.
So, will we see aliens, mermaids, and vampires this season? Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if we do.American Horror Story: Double Feature will consist of two separate stories. The cast includes Sarah Paulson, Leslie Grossman, Kathy Bates, Lily Rabe, Billie Lourd, Finn Wittrock, Adina Porter and Angelica Ross. Newcomers Macauley Culkin and Paris Jackson are also joining the cast.
The new season of American Horror Story will premiere August 25 on FX and will air on FX on Hulu the following day.
