RuPaul's Drag Race Queens Proudly Say Gay in New PSA Video

Say Gay PSA

The new public service announcement is a partnership with The Trevor Project.

Viacom and The Trevor Project have partnered up for an important "Say Gay" PSA featuring fan-favorite queens from RuPaul's Drag Race.

"In response to multiple states passing anti-LGBTQ legislation measures, RuPaul's Drag Race queens BenDeLaCreme (Season 6, All Stars 3), Gigi Goode (Season 12), Nicky Doll (Season 12, Drag Race France), and Kerri Colby (Season 14) speak out in response in a new PSA - 'Say Gay' - in partnership with the Trevor Project," a release reads. "Hear from the queens themselves during Pride Month 2022 as they speak to their various unique experiences of being part of the LGBTQ community."

Throughout the PSA, these four Drag Race queens talk about the challenges of growing up as an LGBTQ+ individual along with the importance of embracing your true self.

BenDeLaCreme said:

"If I had ever imagined the kind of life I get to live now, as a kid, I would not have believed it."

Colby explained:

"I'm a proud trans woman - a Black trans woman, at that. And I want you to know that it's okay to be you and serve a whole lot of face, a lot of grace, a lot of body, and we deserve to be in this place."

Goode noted:

"We are made up of such strong, resilient people. And it's an experience that only we know."

Doll declared:

"No matter how you look like, no matter who you are, no matter who you love - you are loved, I love you, you are a part of this community. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise."

These queens are fiercely standing up against recent anti-LGBTQ+ legislation measures that have been passed in certain states as of late. Overall, they want to make sure that young fans of Drag Race who identify as queer feel loved, embraced, and accepted in our community. So, let's all "Say Gay" with them!

RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 7 is now streaming on Paramount+.
