The anchor of CNN Tonight has enjoyed an elevated position during this election season, asking questions during debates and interviewing candidates -- a chance to shine after his previous gaffes caused embarrassment. Lemon has become a familiar face for audiences, although he continues to struggle not to put his foot in his mouth -- as when he adopted a contrarian stance over an incident in which an African-American high school student was thrown to the ground by an officer while still in her chair.
