Cyndi Lauper Wants to Remake Joan Crawford Movies With Madonna
Cyndi Lauper would play Baby Jane, obviously.
What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? is part of camp cult classic history. It's basically the first thing you learn in Gay 101. There's even been a drag remake of the film. So could it be time for an '80s pop diva remake?
If Cyndi Lauper has her way, we could bet on it. In a recent interview with PrideSource, she admitted that she would want to star in a remake with Madonna. When asked who she'd play, she said:
"Come on! Who do you think I'd play? I'd play Baby Jane - I'd be torturin' her. Because she's always viewed as the bad girl, you know! They'd make her the good girl and I'd be the bad one. Or (we could do Joan Crawford's 1954 western-drama) Johnny Guitar--she'd be the righteous one (laughs)."
Should we go ahead and start a crowdfunding page or just hand this over to the studio execs?
