Renee Zellweger will play Judy Garland in an upcoming biopic, E! News reports.
The film, simply titled Judy, will be set in 1986 and focus on Garland's final years of performance in London. Three decades after The Wizard of Oz, the movie highlights Garland as she prepares for her sold-out show, The Talk of the Town. It will take audiences behind the scenes, as Garland fights with her agents and managers, deals with depression, and thinks about being away from her children. Judy will also explore her relationship with musician Mickey Deans, whom she'd later marry.
E! reports that the movie "will feature some of Garland's most popular songs," so it's safe to say we might get Zellweger's rendition of "Over The Rainbow." And if we're really lucky, maybe we'll even hear a new take on "Happy Days Are Here Again/ Get Happy," which Garland famously performed alongside Barbara Streisand.
Zellweger was previously nominated for an Oscar in 2003 for her starring role in the Best Picture-winner Chicago.

Opinion: "I have no problem with lip syncing, but you'd think the side that hates drag queens so much would have a little more shame about it," writes Ryan Adamczeski.
