Queer love is in the air on Love Island Games!
The first-ever international all-stars edition of Love Island premiered last week on Peacock. And less than a week into the season, weāve already gotten our first potential queer love connection between islanders Kyra Green (Love Island USA season one) and Megan Barton Hanson (Love Island season four).
In an exclusive Out sneak peek for episode five of Love Island Games, Green is seen pulling Hanson for a chat while she had been talking to Callum Hole. Unsurprisingly, Hole feels immediately threatened about having to ācompete with another girlā in the villa in his pursuit of Hanson. In the past, both Green and Hanson came out as bisexual following their respective seasons of Love Island.
āI definitely wanted to talk to you because youāre very beautiful, Green tells Hanson in the clip. āI never know when girls are into girls [or when] thereās a mutual feeling.ā
Hanson asks, āHave you had any long-term relationships with girls?ā Green responds that most of her lasting relationships have been with women. Hanson adds, āMy first experience with a girl was actually with a couple, but then I was like, only invested in the girl. Iām very openly sexual.ā
Hanson and Green then talk about the double standards between men and women when it comes to dating and sex. āI was a stripper before I went on Love Island,ā Hanson explains. āYou can imagine in the UK, [how] people are still quite conservative. To be able to help one girl be like, āOkay, I can be authentically myself,ā whether thatās working in the sex industry or coming out as bisexual⦠It makes it all worth it.ā
Green says, āI feel like going on this [show], I can be myself and talk about being fluid. A lot of people started coming out to me before they could come out to their parents. I just felt like, āOh, this is what Iām meant to do.ā
You can watch Green & Hansonās full conversation in the video below ā and tune into Love Island Games streaming six nights a week at 6 pm PT / 9 pm ET on Peacock.
