With Murray Hill as the host, a legendary panel of judges, and all 10 competitors from King of Drag season 1 reuniting one last time, Revry delivered an electrifying and emotional grand finale that ended with the crowning of one winner between top 3 finalists Dick Von Dyke, Henlo Bullfrog, and King Molasses.
Recurring judges Tenderoni and Gottmik — alongside guest judge Cole Escola and an exciting addition of Lisa Rinna into the episode — the seven eliminated kings of the season returned to watch this endgame play out. The audience, consisting of Alexander the Great, Big D, Buck Wylde, Charles Galin King, King Perka Sexxx, Pressure K, and Tuna Melt, made things even more thrilling for fans of the show.
During this final challenge, Henlo Bullfrog delivered an on-brand narrative performance, Dick Von Dyke gave the judges a good laugh with his comedy set, and King Molasses brought out the tricks and the stunts for a performance that had the fans gagging.
All three finalists were surprising in their own way. Nonetheless, a top 2 had to be chosen, and Henlo was announced as this season's third-place competitor.

"It is never too late to become who you want to be and go beyond your wildest dreams," Henlo said, straight to the camera, before exiting the stage. "I know I have." Cue the tears. How can you not get emotional hearing that?
Henlo continued, "Also, dad, I brought your art and music to the world. Everybody's gotten to hear your voice. Everything I am, it's because of you. And I know I've made you proud, so thank you for everything."
We stan Henlo!
Dick Von Dyke and King Molasses moved forward in the competition, and Murray Hill announced that they'd compete in a lip sync battle to the official theme song of the series.

The lip sync battle for the crown is absolutely phenomenal, with both kings showcasing their different styles of drag and performance. It's honestly just a lot of fun to watch Dick Von Dyke and King Molasses doing their best while also both feeling confident and worthy of taking home the crown.
It's also absolutely bonkers to watch their performances and realize that nope, no one is giving up on this. No one is phoning it in. This will be a showcase of talent to the very end, and how lucky are we to see it?

King Molasses is the definition of doing the damn thing in this entire performance. He doesn't let up, and doesn't stop, and keeps showing different lip syncing abilities. After embodying and reimagining so many inspired references all season long — as well as creating some of his own — Molasses gives us sharp angles, and Magic Mike-esque moves, and a sense that his body is dripping with rhythm and musicality and new ideas just when you thought he was done.
Dick Von Dyke also delivers one of the best performances of the entire season. This man can make you laugh, and we knew that. But he's also sexy, and he owns his moves, and by the time that he pulls out instruments for the lip sync, it's hard to even keep up with so much energy and fight still left in these ultra-talented drag kings delivering an iconic lip sync that this finale truly deserved.
When the lip sync ends, the judges and the other competitors are on their feet. And so are we, but from home!

The time finally comes for this series to crown the first-ever King of Drag, and it feels fitting for Tenderoni to walk onto the stage carrying the crown, handing it over to Murray Hill to declare which of these superstars has won season 1.
And the first winner of King of Drag is…

"I grew up in Missouri, where I thought I was the only queer kid to ever have existed," Dick Von Dyke said. "I am so proud of myself and the journey I've been on in the last few years trying to repair my relationship with the word 'family.' I'm proud of the strides I've made with my blood family. And I'm also really proud of the family I've made in the years that I've been doing drag. And also in the weeks I've been in this incredible competition. I love you guys."
In a confessional interview scene, the King of Drag finalist addressed fans watching this show from home, reflecting on the wild ride that this had been.
"I've always just been told that, like, drag kings don't belong on TV. And that's just a thing that I had accepted. I just hadn't even really thought twice about it," Dick Von Dyke explained, unable to stop from getting emotional. "I was like, 'No, that's OK. That's what you think. Good for you.' So I never really prepared for what it would feel like, to be a drag king on TV, because I never thought that was a possibility."
The drag star mused, "To even get here feels insane. And then, to get to this last leg of the competition, it just feels… Unreal."
King Molasses also delivered an iconic speech as the first-ever champion of the series.

Murray Hill addressed the newly-crowned champion, "King Molasses, you won King of Drag. How does it feel?"
"It feels like everything, honestly," Molasses replied. "I am truly humbled, and I'm extremely grateful for this opportunity, and I just hope that you [looks at the camera] continue to watch, because it's not over yet. Can I get an amen?"
Molasses went on in a confessional interview, "I competed at my best, and I competed with the best. To get the incredible love, and support, and constructive criticism from the judges, from my peers, from Murray… What I have gained from this competition is truly priceless. I didn't need a crown."
Well, but he did deserve one, and he does look great wearing one… So this feel right, eh?

"Molasses, do you have any words for your kingdom?" Murray Hill asked to wrap up the episode.
"Thank you so much to everybody who believed in me, and believed in us, and believed in kings," King Molasses declared. "We are kings not because we want to be men, not because we want to be 'masculine,' and not because we want power. It's because we want room. It's because we want freedom, and liberation. So thank you, and I'll see you all very soon."
Congratulations to the phenomenal King Molasses… And long live the kings!
