Of course we have to start with the Grammy-winning number one hit, “Unholy.” Sam Smith featured Kim on this killer track that’s both sexy and sinister. Petras gets to have fun as a sex goddess tempting everyone who hears her voice in this song.
This is where it all started. “I Don’t Want It At All” was Petras’ first single in 2017 and immediately established her as a new queen of brat-pop. If she can’t have it all, she doesn’t want it at all. Now that she has a number-one song and a Grammy, she actually does have it all.
One of Kim’s singles from her unofficial project Era 1, “Heart to Break” is classic early Petras sound. It’s perfect for a gay club or shouting with your friends.
An Era 1 song from 2018, “Can’t Do Better” sees Petras standing up for herself, making sure the guy who left her knows that he can’t do better than her. It’s a song of triumph and soaring vocals that celebrates self love.
If you want to hear Kim sing her trademark “Wooh-AH,” this song is the perfect chance! She even rhymes it with “think about you-AH!”
This 2018 track from American DJ group Cheat Codes gave Petras a great chance to show off her great vocals on this dance track. This is one of Petras’ rare songs she did not co-write.
Petras was a part of this girl group single from the Ariana Grande-produced soundtrack to the 2019 Charlie’s Angels movie. Singing the hook for rappers Kash Doll and Stefflon Don and Finnish singer Alma, Petras is undeniably great on this fun song.
The title track off her debut mixtape in 2019 is a downtempo but uplifting song where Kim gets to celebrate herself. It’s a greek way to kick off her first mixtape and a song we’ll always love.
This 2020 song represented a period of growth after her debut mixtape Clarity in 2019. It’s a perfect summer song with a punchy beat and hook that demands to be sung along with.
This spooky song off of Petras’ Halloween-themed LP Turn Off the Light is a modern day “Thriller” and has become a staple at gay Halloween parties.
This was a moment. Petras brought the fun and the funny on this song about the joys of a big pair of coconuts. “Look at these margaritatas” she sings. “I give them different names, Cartier and Tiffany,” and “You can put them in your mouth, watch them bounce up and down.” Kim was truly at her bimbo peak here.
Pop icon Charli XCX has long been a fan and supporter of Petras, and has included her on several of her great songs. “Unlock It” is one of those from 2017, where Petras and Charli combine their voices for a great dance-pop song.
Another Charli song featuring Kim, “Click” is a song of celebration and thanksgiving, celebrating being surrounded by your best friends. While the original is great, the “No Boys Remix” featuring Slayyyter instead of Tommy Cash is a true girl power anthem.
In February 2022, Petras announced her Slutty era with the EP Slut Pop. This dance-pop song is explicit, dirty, sex-positive, and wonderful.
After “Unholy,” Petras released this track produced by pop legend Max Martin. It sees Petras taking on a more rock sound to sing about spirituality and not being able to relate to the clean-cut image of Jesus
