Despite GOP candidates getting their asses handed to them on Election Day, Nicki Minaj is making it clear she isn't backing away from her support for President Donald Trump or Republicans.
Minaj shared a laundry list on X Tuesday, itemizing 15 post-election thoughts that ranged from politics to prettiness and praise for Jesus and for Elon Musk, as well as an endorsement of the trillionaire's Grok mobile app.
While the "Beez in the Trap" singer apparently has not lost her loyal Barbz fanbase, the rest of the internet is on fire with pointed critiques, mean tweets and cruelly mocking every single point she made.
Many posts targeted the fact she is not a U.S. citizen, that her husband Kenneth Petty is a registered sex offender who was convicted of attempted rape and still faces more legal trouble in connection with that case, that her brother Jelani Maraj is serving 25 years to life behind bars for sexual assault of an 11-year-old girl, as well as her own legal troubles related to $200,000 owed to her attorneys and her $20 million mansion in Hidden Hills, Calif.
One post on X told Minaj: "Your grift granted you nothing but to lose your legacy, fanbase, GP favor & hip-hop community respect. GO MAGA GO BROKE! Go pay off those liens."
Here's the "couple things" Minaj shared Wednesday night that sparked that huge blowback:
1. Trump is STILL your PRESIDENT.
2. The QUEEN is STILL your OBSESSION.
3. Jesus is STILL LORD.
4. Great insight by the VICE PRESIDENT.
5. Knowledge is POWER. 6. Congratulations to all winners! Especially @RepLuna & @ByronDonalds.
7. Blowing a billion on a losing campaign full of celebrities is STILL hurting them.
8. The BARBZ are STILL PRETTY!!!
9. I don’t vote, I VETO.
10. Stay tuned & STAY MAD.
11. Christians are STILL being killed.
12. Maybe now our people will WAKE UP.
13. Love you.
Fewer than 20 minutes later, the "Anaconda" singer added two more "last thing" bullet points in a second post:
14. Elon is STILL a trillionaire and you are STILL posting on his app. I’m sure the shareholders appreciate the dialogue.
15. #GrokBot is a phenomenal product that has significantly changed my life for the better. Thank you, @bot
The backlash was swift, with social media users posting their own lists, memes, and even photos of Chucky in counterpoint. (Minaj had shared a pro-Republican graphic of the evil doll on Election Day, which prompted Chucky's creator to set the record straight on his political leanings.)
One "fan account" with the handle @bobussyy offered Minaj advice on resolving her debt with the help of Musk: "16. Ask him to borrow you some money then because you owe them lawyers."
Another posted a meme featuring New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Ms. Rachel of YouTube fame singing "Wheels on the Bus" to preschoolers, and telling the "Starships" rapper to "go cry in the corner."
Perhaps the most creative post was shared by another "fan account" who goes by the name Moni. It's a vertical video that sampled part of Minaj's "Beez in the Trap" hit song featuring 2 Chainz, from her 2012 album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded. However, the clip is covered with pictures of the election aftermath map, featuring every city she mentioned that went blue on Tuesday.
"This is diabolical" said Bridget Anderson in response. "Wait this gagged," said Vegan 4skn. And Change is Here said, "Everything she touches now is FLOP!"
In addition to a few "spit takes" comments, the winner goes to a person claiming to be a 19-year-old who goes by @yesfatsyesfems who noticed, "Only place she named that went red is staten island at the end!"
