Amazon MGM Studios has shared a new statement on the Red, White & Royal Blue sequel this week — even though this second installment had already been announced in May 2024 during an FYC event for the first movie.

The first film covered all relevant events from the original novel, and the 2019 book is a standalone project without any sequels thus far. Overall, this means that every person sitting in the audience will experience this continuation of the story between Alex and Prince Henry for the very first time.
